Inspired by the compactness and effectiveness in the creative
processes of the great string quartets, Quadro Janas aims to
renew and enliven the expressive traditions of early music.
Research, improvisation, memory, and creativity blend together
in interpretations capable of passionate lyricism and
breathtaking virtuosity.

Founded in 2003 by four young and acclaimed international
viruoso, Lorenzo Cavasanti, Dorothee Oberlinger, Jorge
Alberto Guerrero, and Paola Erdas, the group in very active
internationally, appearing in venues in Italy, Spain, and Germany.
Since 2004 Quadro Janas is 'group in residence' at
the Pantelleria Early Music Festival in Italy.
